Leonardo Semplici expects a ‘furious atmosphere’ when SPAL visit Verona for today’s critical relegation six-pointer.
With four matches of the season remaining, the Biancazzurri must win at the Bentegodi in order to keep their survival destiny in their own hands.
However, they face a Scaligeri side who know that failure to taste victory themselves would all but consign them to an immediate return to Serie B.
“It will be a tough trip, because a furious atmosphere will be waiting for us,” Semplici told his pre-match Press conference.
“For Verona, it’s their last chance and their team had their training interrupted because of a fan protest.
“They will give absolutely everything against us.”
Semplici believes his team have shown they are worthy of their place in the top-flight, although he admits errors have been made over the course of the season.
“Maybe we could have done some things different on some occasions.
“We have made mistakes along the journey. But we have shown our worth this season and we want to stay in this League.”
