The Rossoneri’s dreams of being in today’s quarter-final draw vanished this week after their 2-0 first leg advantage over Barcelona was wiped out following a 4-0 reverse.
“Now we have to think about second, that is our objective,” the Colombian international told Milan Channel.
“We did well at San Siro against Barcelona, it is just a shame that we were not able to do what we wanted at the Camp Nou.
“They were two great games, but we now have to look ahead,” the summer loan capture from Villarreal added.
“We have a tough game on Sunday against Palermo as we know that we have to do well because we want to finish second in the League.
“The Rosanero will be hard to break down and will play on the counter-attack.”
Milan, who started the season with five losses from their first eight games, are now third in Serie A and just two points adrift of Napoli.
Leaders Juventus are 11 points clear of the Diavolo.
