Parma sporting director Daniele Faggiano has extended his contract with the club until 2022.

The renewal was confirmed in a statement on Parma’s official website.

“Daniele Faggiano’s contract extension is another fundamental step for a club like ours, one which is planning and working to create a structure, grow, improve and constantly look ahead,” said President Pietro Pizzarotti.

Faggiano previously worked for the likes of Bari, Siena and Palermo before moving to Parma in December 2016.

The 41-year-old helped mastermind the Ducali’s return to Serie A from the third with his transfer dealings.

This summer, he oversaw the arrivals of Vincent Laurini, Hernani, Giuseppe Pezzella, Dejan Kulusevski, Yann Karamoh and Italy international Matteo Darmian.
