The Corriere dello Sport claims this evening that the Giallorossi have reached an agreement worth €38m, but other sources suggest the player is leaning towards Inter.
“It’s a summer full of surprises,” director of sport Osti told Rai Sport.
“The player is with us, I am convinced he can still make the difference with Sampdoria. He is liked by many clubs and that’s only right, especially as he can still improve a great deal.
“He is not admired just in Italy, but also abroad. We are open to everyone, we will wait for everyone, but at the end of the day (President Massimo) Ferrero will have the last word.
“It’s only logical that Sampdoria have to think about what follows Schick, if an offer we can’t refuse should arrive. We have various players that we like, but Patrik will only leave if we are able to find a replacement.
“I think the final week of the transfer window will be decisive for the more important moves. There is no longer a clause in Schick’s contract, so the negotiations are free for any figure.”
