After Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal, Lazio now risk seeing his ideal replacement snapped up by Saudi Arabia too, as Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski received a huge offer from Al-Ahli.
The paperwork was signed and exchanged this evening, as Milinkovic-Savic is set to undergo his medical with Al-Hilal tomorrow or on Thursday.
Lazio completed the sale for €40m net and had intended to go for Zielinski as his heir, reuniting with coach Maurizio Sarri at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, Calciomercato.com claim that the Saudi Pro League is trying to bring Zielinski in as well and Sky Sport Italia name the club as Al-Ahli.
The proposal on the table is believed to be a three-year contract at €10-12m per season.
Napoli are asking for €20-25m to sell the Poland international, who is in the final year of his contract at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
His current salary with the Partenopei is €4.5m per season including bonuses, so he is one of the biggest earners at the Scudetto-winning club.
