Having been told he has no future at Anfield, the Italian international is looking for a new club, and it’s not been confirmed that Sassuolo and Chievo are interested.
“It’s true, Sassuolo thought of him,” Enzo Raiola, cousin of Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola, and a member of staff for his agency, confirmed to ilMilanista.
“But in terms of wages we’re light years apart. Liverpool will never accept the figures on offer, unless nothing happens before [August] 31.
“Chievo? Yes, but these are the only two clubs in Italy who have tested the waters. Mario wants to get back into the game and feel important.”
It’s thought Sassuolo would offer Balotelli a €2m per season salary for a loan deal, but Liverpool would have to pay the remaining €4m.
