Sassuolo have announced Jeremy Toljan has tested positive for coronavirus.
The German defender has played three games in 2020-21 but is now in quarantine with coronavirus as Serie A returns this weekend.
The 26-year-old was the only positive, as the Neroverdi confirmed the rest of the group tested negative for the double swab.
“The club promptly placed the player, totally asymptomatic, in isolation, activating all the procedures provided for by the protocol in force for the team group,” the club wrote in a statement.
