Sassuolo are facing a midfield injury crisis after their exit from the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The Neroverdi were eliminated from the competition after a 3-2 defeat to Athletic Bilbao, and lost Lorenzo Pellegrini and Davide Biondini to injury in the process.
Whilst Pellegrini looks to have escaped without a serious problem, Biondini on the other hand is thought to have potentially ruptured his achilles tendon.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s side already have Stefano Sensi and Alfred Duncan missing from the midfield, and they take on Napoli away from home on Monday evening.
"We are disappointed because we went out of a competition that we sweated so much for and it hurts,” defender Paolo Cannavaro told the Press after the game.
“But we played to the end with so many young players in a difficult group.
"When one of us goes to ground we always fear the worst, because we’ve been unlucky. Biondini was in tears, so I think it's something serious."
