Giuseppe Sannino tried not to put too much pressure on Siena ahead of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match with Chievo. “Play without a care in the world.”
The Tuscans face a one-off quarter-final match at the Stadio Bentegodi on Wednesday with the kick-off at 16.30 UK time.
It’s an historic occasion, as neither club has ever previously reached the semi-finals.
“We mustn’t think about the semi-final. The secret will be to play without a care in the world,” insisted the Siena Coach.
“We reached this stage without even realising how we got here. We simply have to continue with that approach and not get ahead of ourselves.
“I expect a great deal from everyone, especially those who haven’t played as much up until now.
“There is also a Serie A match coming up against Fiorentina, so we’ll try to balance out our energy over the two games, but for now Chievo is the most important test.”
