Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero would “gladly” take Manolo Gabbiadini back from Napoli, but not in exchange for Luis Muriel.
The forward left the Blucerchiati to move to Naples in January of 2015, but has failed to secure a regular place in the side.
He has been linked with Southampton, Stoke and Wolfsburg, and a return to his former club could also be on the table.
“Napoli have taken [Leonardo] Pavoletti which is a great signing,” Ferrero said on Radio Crc.

“Gabbiadini? He’s a great player and a great lad, but [Napoli Coach Maurizio] Sarri doesn’t see him. If they’d give him back, I’d take him gladly.
“It won’t be an exchange with Muriel though, that’s Fantasy Football. [Bartosz] Bereszynski will arrive tomorrow, I don’t know if we’ll see him at San Paolo. That’s up to the Coach.
“The Napoli game? I’ve brought a bag to put three points in, not to bring them here. It will be a great match, we’ll be playing against a great team and if we can get away with a 0-0 we’d be happy.”
