Tuttosport reports today that Samp have contacted the Old Lady about the 21-year-old and that sporting director Carlo Osti and lawyer Antonio Romei have now met with Rugani’s attorney Davide Torchia in Milan.
The newspaper says that the Blucerchiati want to sign the Italy Under-21 international on loan until the end of the season.
Juve are believed to consider Rugani a key player for the future and therefore won’t consider a sale, but are reportedly considering a temporary departure in order for him to play regularly.
The report says that the main worry holding the Old Lady back is that they could be short of options should there be a defensive injury crisis.
However, there is also the suggestion that doing such a deal with the Marassi outfit could give Juventus a fast track towards a deal for midfielder Roberto Soriano.
