The Blucerchiati saw their opening fixture against Fiorentina rescheduled to September 19 as a sign of respect after the iconic bridge collapsed.
There were 43 people killed on that bridge, but also many more left homeless and hundreds of businesses affected by the sudden destruction of the main thoroughfare.
Samporia ultras announced they have designed a special edition T-Shirt that will be sold during and around tomorrow’s match to raise funds for victims of the disaster.
The minimum offer is €5, but people can hand over as much as they feel comfortable with.
The shirt has the message: ‘The roads and the skies of the city have the same colours… For Genova, the Sampdoriani.’
There will be a minute’s silence before kick-off, as it is Sampdoria’s first home match since the collapse, and it’s reported the players will also come out on to the field wearing these special shirts.
