Milan youngster Bartosz Salamon has explained how he became a client of super agent Mino Raiola.
The latter has close links with the Diavolo seeing as he also represents Mario Balotelli and former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, amongst many others.
“The stories about him in Ibrahimovic’s autobiography are true, Raiola is eccentric,” the Polish international is quoted as saying.
“I have to admit that our relationship began in an unusual way. About three years ago, when I was at Foggia, he phoned me and asked to be my agent.
“I said no because I had an agent and I was happy to work with him, I wanted to be fair. He said that if I played well then I would end up in a big team.
“He ended the call by telling me that he wouldn’t ring back. He didn’t, but I did.
“When I started to do well in Serie B, I realised that good performances on the field of play were not enough, you needed to have someone to represent you so that your good work would not go to waste.
“Mino told me to give my all in training and games, and that he would take me to where I deserved to be. In six months, he took me to Milan…”
Salamon, a defensive midfielder who can also play as a centre-back, joined the Rossoneri in January from Brescia. He’s contracted to the Diavolo until June 2017.
