Sampdoria have officially confirmed the appointment of Walter Sabatini as their new technical director.
Daniele Prade left the role last week to take up the same position at Udinese, and he’ll be replaced by the former Roma sporting director.
“Sabatini, one of the greatest connoisseurs of Italian and international football, with professional experience of the highest level, will take over the rule of technical director from July 1,” a statement on the Blucerchiati’s website confirms.

Sabatini was most recently a technical co-ordinator between Inter and Jiangsu Suning, but he left that role in March.
