Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has denied speculation that Mattia Destro has fallen out with Zdenek Zeman.

Rumours had surfaced of a rift between the Czech tactician and the young striker, but the 57-year-old administrator has confirmed that the former Siena man is in the club's plans.

“Destro will please the fans when he starts to play,” Sabatini told Roma Channel. “It's just unfortunate that, at the moment, our attack is doing very well.

“He is a great player, and gets on well with Zeman. The Coach doesn't have any doubts about his quality.”

Destro joined the capital club over the summer for a fee of around €11m, but has yet to score a competitive goal.
