Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini responds to yesterday’s bizarre protests by Ultras: “Carrots aren’t on our menu, let’s trust the team.”
Fans of the Giallorossi brought 50kg of carrots to the training ground yesterday along with a banner aimed at the players which said: “Enjoy your meal, rabbits!”
This was on the back of a bad week for the capital club in which they were thrashed 6-1 by Barcelona and surprisingly beaten 2-0 at home by Atalanta.

“Carrots aren’t on our menu,” said Sabatini to Sport Mediaset at a dinner organised by AIRC and UTR.
“The team is very sensitive and aware, everything can start again from an educated criticism. The squad needs educated criticisms in order to do better.
“Let’s not get depressed, we will put ourselves back in place. We have to trust the team.
“Roma still exists and has in mind the things that must be done and will be done, because we have a group of great players but above all good guys.
“They know we’re slipping, we’ve had some setbacks, but they are totally taken by the path they must go down.
“Roma have a duty to be competitive, to compete to win.”
