The Italian international is back in action after spending most of the last two seasons sidelined with knee ligament damage.

But the former Manchester United and Villarreal ace has made an immediate impact in front of goal for the Viola.

Rossi has scored five goals so far this season – four in Serie A and one in the Europa League – during 470 minutes of action.

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain is averaging a goal every 106 minutes, Carlos Tevez is rippling the net every 139 minutes for Juventus and Milan's Mario Balotelli is getting a goal every 161 minutes.

Rossi is Serie A’s joint top scorer this term with Napoli’s Marek Hamsik.
