Ronaldo praises Inter Coach Luciano Spalletti, but admits “I don’t envy him”, and also discusses Gabigol.
The former striker scored 59 goals in 99 games for the Nerazzurri, and was asked about their current situation in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I’d only be talking out of affection so I can’t be sure,” Ronaldo confessed.
“What I can say is that with Spalletti they’ve not only taken a football strategist, but also a good manager of a group.

“I don’t envy him though, he’ll have to find a way to get the team firing in a hurry, because Inter have been waiting for everything for years: their fans and also Europe.
“Gabigol? I don’t know his story at Inter that well, but I know it’s not easy to adapt to the Italian League.
“The most important thing to decide is this: what role should you play in?
“The Gabigol I saw in Brazil has quality, but at Inter – even in training – do you feel like you’re being used in the right way to impress them?”
Ronaldo was also asked if he would return to the Beneamata in some capacity in future, given he has links with owners Suning Group.
“I haven’t dreamed so far ahead yet, it’s early. But I’ve always said that I have Inter in my heart, well before Suning came along.”
