Roma are sweating over the fitness of Amadou Diawara, who will undergo further tests in hope of avoiding surgery.
The midfielder might have injured the external meniscus in his left knee during the Coppa Italia defeat to Juventus and if that’s the case, he could be out for the next three months.
The Guinean has previously had damages to the same knee, but then it was the internal meniscus and a shorter time of the recovery.

According to Sky Sport Italia, if he needs surgery, he will be missing until April, after already sitting out one month of the campaign due to the previous injury to the same knee.
Bryan Cristante is back and will provide the cover for Diawara during the derby this weekend.
After losing Nicolò Zaniolo, also against Juventus but in the League match at the Olimpico, Fonseca has been forced to dive into the transfer market, but no deal has materialised of yet.
Diawara has played 12 games in Serie A for Roma this term and the 22-year-old also missed three and a half months due to a muscle injury whilst at Napoli last season.
