Roma are preparing to lose Nemanja Matic this month and have identified Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes as a possible replacement, Gianluca Di Marzio details.
The Serbian veteran has reportedly agreed terms with Rennes and is now waiting for a move to France, putting pressure on the Giallorossi, who did not intend to sell him this summer.
Roma have spent the majority of the summer transfer window focusing their efforts on a new striker, but now need to start considering a new midfielder to replace Matic as well.
As reported by Di Marzio, Roma have identified Paredes as a strong replacement for Matic and have been in close contact with his entourage.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who is not seemingly part of the project in the French capital, is open to the move to the Giallorossi following his year on loan at Juventus.
Paredes spent three years of his career attached to Roma from 2014 to 2017, making 54 appearances at the club before leaving for Zenit Saint Petersburg.
