According to the Star on Sunday, Roma director Walter Sabatini flew out for negotiations this week with the 29-year-old.
It claims Roma are prepared to pay £100,000 per week over a three-year contract after tax.

However, these figures seem to be extremely over the top, especially for a club that is dealing with Financial Fair Play issues.
Captain Francesco Totti is currently the top earner at Roma and gets £6.2m per season.
