Roger Ibanez is having his medical tests with Roma this morning, as Atalanta make another healthy profit on a player who barely featured.
The 21-year-old centre-back flew in from Brazil yesterday and was in the stands for the 1-1 Derby della Capitale draw with Lazio.
Atalanta signed him from Fluminense for just under €4m a year ago, but he only made two very brief substitute appearances for a total 20 minutes on the pitch.

Despite that, they are making a big profit, as Roma are taking Ibanez on an 18-month loan for €1m with obligation to buy for another €8m and up to €2m in performance-related bonuses.
“There’s Roger Ibanez, who didn’t play very much for Atalanta, but we believe in his capabilities and invested money in his arrival,” Roma director of sport Gianluca Petrachi told Sky Sport Italia on Sunday.
“We hope over the next six months he can learn the tactical movements of the coach and therefore be ready to become a key centre-back for Roma from next season.”
