The Togolese forward is out of favour at Spurs, and the newspaper believes that the English club could be persuaded to let the 30-year-old leave for free to get his wages off the books.
Adebayor hasn’t featured for the club since playing 25 minutes against Stoke in October, and was granted a return to his homeland on compassionate grounds in December.
