“I still need to agree on a strategy with the President, but I don’t think we need to sell any players, while we certainly will bring in new figures.”
The most sought-after figure is midfielder Pjanic, who has been linked with PSG, Manchester City, Manchester United and Barcelona.
“We are negotiating a contract renewal and intend to complete those talks, even if football always holds surprises.
“We are confident and have daily talks with his entourage. Will it take a while? We want to finish things off quickly, so I hope and believe we’ll do that before the end of the season, though of course we’ll also stay alert to what could happen.
“We don’t want things to carry on too long, as when players go off to the World Cup it becomes tricky to get together.
“Pjanic is a great player and we want to enjoy him.”
