Tommaso Rocchi has explained that he rejected the opportunity to leave Lazio during the summer transfer window.
The veteran was of interest to Udinese and even Inter, amongst other sides, but he decided to stay in Rome despite no first team assurances.
“I opted to remain because I love this shirt,” stated the 34-year-old forward. “There are a lot of players in attack here, but I’ll give the Coach something to think about.”
Rocchi, who joined Lazio in 2004 from Empoli, didn’t feature in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Palermo at the Olimpico.
