The Italian champions are attempting to sign the Argentine this month after his relationship with City broke down.

“I’ve played with Tevez,” Robinho told the Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday. “I can guarantee that he is a great.”

The Rossoneri have turned to Tevez as cover for Antonio Cassano, the Italian international who is currently sidelined following minor heart surgery.

“I agree with Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he says that we miss Cassano,” the Brazilian international continued.

While talk of Tevez coming in has dominated the transfer rumour mill, there are whispers that Alexandre Pato may soon be leaving the club.

Pato has been linked with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain after revealing problems with boss Massimiliano Allegri.

“I would advise Pato to stay here at Milan,” the former Real Madrid attacker continued. “He could win the Golden Ball one day…”
