The 34-year-old has joined the Azzurri this month given that he was a free agent following the expiration of his Lyon contract.

“It’s really satisfying to be here,” the French defender noted. “I had a number of offers on the table after my spell at Lyon, but I was after an opportunity like this.

“I’m at the complete disposal of the Coach, starting from this Saturday’s game against Parma.”

Reveillere is known to Benitez given that the two worked together for a short space of time back in 2003.

“I team up with Benitez again after a long time,” the stopper continued. “He is a Coach who likes his team to play attractive football.

“You work well with him in charge.”

Napoli are third in Serie A, three points behind Juventus and four adrift of leaders Roma.
