Despite Eusebio Di Francesco’s words yesterday, it’s now reported Edin Dzeko will be left out of Roma’s game with Sampdoria.
The Bosnian is close to agreeing a move to Chelsea, though he hasn’t yet finalised a contract with the English club.
Di Francesco said yesterday that he was intending to play his star striker regardless, but admitted he’d have to assess Dzeko’s frame of mind.

Now Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that he’ll be left out of the starting XI for tonight’s match, with the front-three comprised of Radja Nainggolan, Patrik Schick and Gregoire Defrel.
If Dzeko is indeed left out, it would all-but confirm that he’ll leave the Lupi in the coming days, with Emerson Palmieri also expected to head to London in a €50m plus €10m bonuses deal.
