There are reports PSG are prepared to pay the €63m buy-out clause for Napoli hitman Edinson Cavani.
Coach Laurent Blanc already dropped a few hints at his Press conference that the club was pushing hard for the Uruguayan.
“I’d love to work with Cavani. He is a player I like very much,” said Blanc.
“I would be happy if one day he was to become part of our squad, but I know that I’m not the only Coach to be saying that today.”
Now according to Spanish newspaper AS, Paris Saint-Germain have raised their offer to the €63m buy-out clause in Cavani’s contract.
This cuts Chelsea and Real Madrid out of the race, although the striker would still need to agree personal terms with PSG.
He would reunite with former Napoli teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi and simultaneously pave the way for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave.
There are already rumours in the French Press that Ibra is not happy with Blanc’s appointment.
