Reports in Spain claim that Jackson Martinez’s move to Milan from Porto is a done deal.

The player’s agent admitted today that the transfer could be completed in the next few days, with the Colombian set to be the Rossoneri’s first big summer signing.

Now Marca is reporting that a deal has been struck, with the Diavolo paying €32m up front for the 28-year-old, with a further €3m in easily-achievable bonuses taking the total to €35m, meeting Martinez’s release clause.

The Spanish newspaper believes Doyen Sports had a big hand in the deal, with the CEO of the football investment fund, Nelio Lucas, crucial to the deal.

Doyen is one of the backers of Bee Taechaubol, who is in the process of acquiring 48 per cent of the club.

Marca reports Martinez will earn €7m net per season, which would work out to around the €3.5m gross figure which has been widely reported in the Italian media.
