Inter and Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the free loan of Stevan Jovetic, say reports.

The striker came to the Nerazzurri on loan from Manchester City, and were he to play a single game for them this season, the Italians would be forced to pay the €14.5m buy-out clause as per their original deal.

Fiorentina are interested in picking the striker up, and the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the two clubs agreed terms yesterday evening, in a dinner which saw the player's agent act as an intermediary.

Jovetic himself met his agent yesterday after training to discuss the deal, and gave his consent to the move.

Although Inter were initially against the idea of giving the 26-year-old away on a free loan, they have acquiesced to the idea when Fiorentina offered to pay the player's wages in full.

The Biscione are hoping that ultimately the Viola will choose to pay the buy-out clause to Manchester City themselves.
