Lazio's Champions League hopes took a dent with their Sardinian defeat, but Edy Reja is not hitting the panic button.

“We put in a very good performance today, it's just that we did not make it count with a goal,” said the Coach.

Their 1-0 loss away to Cagliari was decided by an Andre Dias own goal, while Sergio Floccari hit the woodwork.

“Unfortunately, the result did not reward us with what we deserved, which was at least a draw.

“There are certain games that are difficult to analyse. In the second half the wind was against us and it became very tricky, plus we didn't have the strength to fight back.”

Udinese are now just one point behind Lazio's fourth place after a crushing 7-0 win in Palermo.

“It's true Udinese are in good shape and have had the wind in their sails for a long while now,” conceded Reja.
