Edy Reja claims Miroslav Klose is better than Antonio Di Natale, as he hopes Lazio leapfrog Udinese in Sunday’s head-to-head.

Last season only goal difference separated these two sides in the race for a Champions League spot, so the Biancocelesti are out for revenge.

“We are not well respected by the media, but those who work within the football industry have a great deal of admiration for what we do,” said the Coach.

“Against Udinese it will be our consolidation match, because they are top of the table. We also want to take revenge for what happened last year, but the main reason I want to beat Udinese is to leapfrog them.”

It also represents a showdown between two evergreen strikers, as Klose and Di Natale are battling for the Capocannoniere title.

“Both are decisive, despite their age. Klose has found the right environment, his form and is in an amazing moment of form. I’d like to find the right opportunity to rest him. I do not ask Klose to help out the defence, but he does it anyway, because he feels the need to give something more.

“Klose and Di Natale would make a good pairing. Antonio plays on the edge of the offside trap and is very sharp. Miro is more of a team player. Both are champions, but I choose Klose, as he goes beyond merely finishing off the moves.”

Andre Dias, Abdoullay Konko and Tommaso Rocchi remain fitness doubts, while Hernanes could be rested after Lazio reached the Europa League knockouts.

“Getting through to the next round was very important, as we want to continue this experience. We have a quality side and respect everyone, but fear nobody.”
