The club was thrown into turmoil on Wednesday afternoon when Reja submitted his resignation via fax and was talked into making the trip to Madrid for Thursday’s Europa League tie with Atletico.

Today the tactician took charge of the training session at Formello and was seen going into the area of the complex that holds the club offices.

However, President Claudio Lotito was nowhere to be seen and after an hour both Reja and director of sport Tare left.

“The meeting was meant to be held today between Reja and the club to clarify their reciprocal positions, but the get-together has not yet taken place,” confirmed director of communications Stefano De Martino.

“I believe in any case that the meeting will go ahead some time today. As soon as there is any news, we will confirm it via the official SS Lazio website.”

According to Sky Sport Italia’s latest updates, Reja is very upset at the situation and has no intention of taking back his resignation, regardless of whether there is a meeting with Lotito today or not.

There are even reports the Coach does not want a meeting with the President at all.
