Despite Genoa's insistence they have “no intention of selling” Andrea Ranocchia, the player was spotted at Inter headquarters this evening.

There are reports from several sources that Italy defender Ranocchia, his agent Tullio Tinti and Genoa director of sport Stefano Capozzucca met with Inter Vice-President Rinaldo Ghelfi today.

Ranocchia is part of a co-ownership deal between the two clubs and is expected to make the transfer to San Siro in January rather than at the end of the season.

“We do not want to make ourselves weaker and must think of a better future,” insisted Genoa President Enrico Preziosi.

“Ranocchia asked me not to be sold and I have no intention of selling him. I have no meetings with Inter lined up.

“Of course, if the right price were to be offered, then every player is on the market.”
