Claudio Ranieri admits Inter “cannot carry on like this” after their 4-0 “non-performance” at the hands of Roma.

“The Giallorossi played a great game and deserve praise. However, we were too ‘soft’ stepping on to the field and let ourselves get overcome by our opponents,” said the Coach.

The Nerazzurri have incredibly conceded eight goals in their last two Serie A games, following the 4-4 draw with Palermo.

“For the last few weeks we have no longer been ourselves. We concede too many goals and can’t seem to play the football that we know we can.

“From Tuesday we’ve got to knuckle down and work hard in order to improve. Today was a non-performance.

“Of course I am convinced that this squad can still win. We probably had a comedown after the derby victory and lost something in psychological terms. From Tuesday we must react, because we cannot carry on like this.

“We all have to rediscover ourselves on a mental and physical level. We’ve fallen many times and got back up, so we will do it again.”
