Juventus’ Fabio Quagliarella has not ruled out the possibility of joining the Old Lady’s arch-rivals Fiorentina.

The 31-year-old has been with the Bianconeri for four years but has struggled for first team football this season, meaning he seems set to leave the club this summer.

The forward had a brief spell over a decade ago with Florentia Viola, the new incarnation of Fiorentina shortly after they had been declared bankrupt and demoted to the fourth tier of Italian football.

Speaking to FirenzeViola.it today, the Italian did not rule out a return to Florence.

“My future? All I’m saying is that I really want to be playing because I still feel like an important and key player,” Quagliarella said. “I still have a lot to give.

“Fiorentina? It’s one of the options and who knows whether I will really return to wearing a Viola shirt.

“I was very happy in Florence and the fans always showed me affection. We’ll see what happens in the summer.”
