Andrea Pirlo has turned down a huge offer to finish his career in Qatar, according to reports.

The midfielder’s contract expires in 2016, at which time the playmaker will be 37, and it’s unlikely he’d be offered an extension.

According to Calciomercato, Qatari club Al-Jaish have made an offer to take the Italian international to the middle-East a year ahead of that deadline.

Coached by former Parma man Sabri Lamouchi, the club are said to have offered Pirlo €7.5m per year to move to Qatar at the end of this season.
