Even so, the Grifone continue to be linked with players such as Catania's Pablo Barrientos, but speaking on the club's official website Capozucca has insisted the focus is now on sales.
“We have one priority at this stage – thinning. At present we have a staff made up of almost 30 players, instead of 22 or 23 that are within our project,” he revealed.
Preziosi, who is engaged in transfer talks with Lazio counterpart Claudio Lotito, reiterated his sporting director's stance.
“Barrientos? We need to prune the rose and cannot enter the market, even if he is a good player. Have any agent’s rung me today? I need to charge my phone, and I have no credit…”
The patron went on to reveal that, contrary to talk of a mass exchange involving various players from both sides, the men at the centre of the Lazio negotiations are Rossoblu defender Andreas Granqvist and Biancocelesti 'keeper Juan Pablo Carrizo, and them only.
“The feelings are positive, one way or another I think we will find a solution tomorrow,” Preziosi informed La Repubblica last night. “The only players involved however, are Granqvist and Carrizo.”
