Matteo Politano concedes he “could’ve done better” on his senior Italy debut, but has not made any decision yet on his club future.
The Azzurri beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 in this evening’s friendly, the debut of new Coach Roberto Mancini.
“The first half was good, we fell away a little in the second, but we’ve only been working with the new Coach for a few days, so it takes time,” Politano told Rai Sport.

“The first half was good, we fell away a little in the second, but we’ve only been working with the new Coach for a few days, so it takes time,” Politano told Rai Sport.
“The Coach asks us to be attacking, move quicker and use our quality going forward. I tried to go wide and create some space for Alessandro Florenzi to cut inside, but I could’ve done better in some situations.”
Politano is widely expected to move on this summer, with interest from Napoli, Roma, Juventus and Inter.
“I hope to keep giving my best at club level and keep getting called up. I haven’t decided anything yet. My agent is taking care of it and I still have a contract with Sassuolo, so the club will decide my future too.”
