FIFA also announced the Golden Ball nominees for player of the tournament in Brazil.
They are Angel Di Maria (Argentina), Mats Hummels (Germany), James Rodriguez (Colombia), Toni Kroos (Germany), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Javier Mascherano (Argentina), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Thomas Muller (Germany), Arjen Robben (Netherlands) and Neymar (Brazil).
Argentina and Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero is nominated for the Golden Glove Award as best goalkeeper of the World Cup.
He fights it out with Germany shot-stopper Manuel Neuer and Keylor Navas of Costa Rica.
