Andrea Pirlo rules out a move to Inter and targets a spot in Italy’s Euro 2016 squad next summer.

The playmaker joined New York City FC in the summer after winning the domestic double with Juventus last season, and has been linked with a loan to the Nerazzurri.

However, the Italy international denied that a San Siro return is on the cards and instead looked ahead to his objectives at club and international level.

“The time to stop hasn’t arrived yet, I still have a lot of desire to play,” he said to Gazzetta.it.

“There is a possibility of playing at the Euros but a lot will depend on me, from what I’ll do on the pitch.

“I’m still very motivated, I’ll try to make it hard for the Coach until the end.

“Inter? Rumours about the transfer market don’t bother me, I’ve got used to it.

“A lot of teams have come after me but I have a contract with New York City and I want to respect it.

“They’ve shown a lot of faith in me. Next year from January we want to start the new season together with a new Coach, doing things right in order to reach important objectives.”
