Andrea Pirlo said Juventus “sent the message that we are here and we want this Final” after beating Real Madrid.
The first leg of the Champions League semi-final ended 2-1 in Turin with Alvaro Morata, a Carlos Tevez penalty and Cristiano Ronaldo header.
“We sent the message that we are here, we want this Final and we’ll fight to the end in Madrid too,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.
“It was a game, there is another and we need the same belief and focus. We have to go to Madrid with the confidence we can get to the Final.
“We need to repeat this performance with technique and concentration.”
The Champions League Final is in Berlin, which is also where Pirlo and many of his Juve teammates won the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
“The phrase 'We're going to Berlin' always remains in my head, I hope it can happen again. Is it destiny? I hope so.”
This week Pirlo said in an interview that he’d leave Juventus if he won the Champions League. Does he stand by that?
“Let’s win it first and then we’ll see,” he smiled.
