Spezia announce striker Roberto Piccoli has suffered a tear at the myotendinous junction of his left femoral bicep.
The Italy Under-21 international sustained the injury during Sunday’s Serie A game against Roma.
A statement released by the club confirms it is a Grade I tear, so the least serious, but this is a tricky area of the body to heal.
Piccoli is therefore likely to be out of action for at least two weeks.
It’s an issue for Spezia, who are already missing top scorer M’Bala Nzola.
