Vladimir Petkovic felt Udinese “won tonight with one shot on goal,” but concedes Lazio have to analyse what is going wrong.

The Biancocelesti have lost five of the last seven Serie A games and today’s 1-0 defeat in Friuli saw Udinese catch them on 51 points.

“Udinese played in a very concrete and disciplined manner, but they won tonight with one shot on goal,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“In terms of results it is a negative period for us and we have to analyse what we did, especially in the first half.

“We had some players out of shape, such as Hernanes and Cristian Ledesma, but must learn to win even those games where things aren’t going that well. We score few goals at the moment, but in the first half we did create something and needed to spread the play better.”

In recent weeks Lazio went out of the Europa League and have slid down the Serie A table, though they have reached the Coppa Italia Final where they’ll face Roma.

“We are above all paying a price on a psychological level, as we have dips in concentration that great teams should not have. We need to grow up in that sense,” continued Petkovic.

“We are not already thinking about the Coppa Italia Final, as we need points to earn qualification for Europe regardless of that trophy. You can never tell how a Derby will end, but we cannot go into it as our only path for Europe.”
