Vladimir Petkovic believes his Lazio side have been given a tough draw in the Europa League as they face Borussia Monchengladbach in the last 32.

The Biancocelesti will travel to Germany on February 14 before hosting Lucien Favre's side a week later for the second leg.

And the Bosnian boss knows what to expect from the Foals.

“Last year they could have got into the Champions League,” he told reporters. “And this year they have been doing well.

“They will not be an easy opponent, but it is not impossible for us to win.

“Their Coach Lucien Favre is a man I know well – he always has his teams playing good football and they are normally always very disciplined.

“However, we know we are also playing at a good level and can have our say in the match.

“During the 1970's they were a huge team and definitely still get big crowds today.

“Football in Germany is at a good level – teams there have great ambition and that should be an additional incentive for our fans to follow us there and then fill the Stadio Olimpico for the return leg.

“We will try to win away from home and then see what happens.”
