The winger has claimed that he chose Roma over other clubs that showed interest in him and admitted that he is “grateful” to his former club.
“I don’t regret anything,” he told Radio Catalunya, “It’s thanks to them that I’m at Roma today.
“They didn’t give me the explanation I thought they would give me. In the world of football, you are a product.
“I rejected many offers because I knew that I wanted. Roma signed me and paid money for me, I must prove on the pitch that I am worth what has been paid.
“I like the fact that they have bet on me and I want to give back for the trust. I’m a professional from head to toe.”
Perez has already played five games and scored in his first start for the club, when the Giallorossi beat KAA Gent 1-0 at home in the first leg of the round of 32 in the Europa League.
