Ivan Zamorano has revealed that he faced ‘a lot of questions’ recently from Real Madrid President Florentino Perez about Arturo Vidal.
The Champions League winners have been suggested in both Spain and Italy this summer as contemplating a bid for Juventus’ midfielder.
Now, one of the 27-year-old’s compatriots has revealed that Los Blancos have shown interest in him.
“When I came to Madrid six months back, Perez asked me a lot of questions about Vidal,” Zamorano has revealed to AS this week.
“I said that Arturo could play there and to take him blindly. He is an extraordinary player and could do very well at Real Madrid, but he could also play in any other club in the world.
“For one who has won a championship as hard as that of Serie A, he could fit into La Liga for sure.”
Zamorano spent four years on the books at Real Madrid during the 1990s, before a five-year stint in Serie A with Inter.
