Lorenzo Pellegrini was subbed off injured after just 15 minutes in Roma-Torino with a suspected quadriceps injury.
Carles Perez replaced the Italy international who suffered a muscle injury in the opening minutes of the Giallorossi’s Serie A clash against Torino.
Pellegrini had started in Roma’s midfield, but his game didn’t last long.
According to DAZN, Pellegrini has suffered an injury at the quadriceps of his right thigh.
Pellegrini, 25, has scored eight goals and delivered three assists in 17 appearances across all competitions this season, but has also been struggling with injuries.
Earlier this month, he pulled out of the Italy squad for a slight muscle problem and he has missed three games because of physical issues this season.
Pellegrini’s injury worsens Roma’s situation in the middle of the pitch, given that Gonzalo Villar and Bryan Cristante are positive for COVID while Jordan Veretout is serving a one-match ban against Torino.
The Frenchman will return to action on Tuesday when the Giallorossi visit Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
