“Cagliari are special,” Pellegrini told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Sardinia identifies with the team. I’m well here, now I live in the city.
“I think I have gown and changed compared to last year. The continuity gives you something that the training sessions can’t.
“To assist one of my teammates is the best for me.”
Cagliari are preparing to resume against Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi and Pellegrini expects a tough environment.
“Verona are hostile. Together with Atalanta, they are the team who play at the highest intensity. But we want it and the changing room is united.”
At the Sardegna Arena he found his former teammate from his time at Roma, Radja Nainggolan, in the changing room and revealed they have a great relationship.
“Me and Radja immediately clicked, thanks to him. When I broke through in 2017, the crusader came to talk to me.
“Radja is charismatic, he drives you and is a great player.”
